Four new competitions we participated in, late 2009
From September to December 2009 Studiodosi participated into four architectural competitions, toghether with some selected professional partners or alone. As usual we participate into competition when we "feel" the subject or we think we can gain some experience on new subjects as a "training" for ourself.
The first one was a private one for a one-thousand-square-meters residential building in Milan, helded by Warehouse&Bureau I S.r.l.
The second one was a urban requalification of the central part of the town of Noventa di Piave, near Venice, and it was done toghether with BetArchitetti (Daniele De Paz e Giacomo Ricci) and 3TI Italia Spa.
The third one was for a nursery and elementary school in Roncofreddo (FC), near Cesena, with 3TI Italia Spa. It was a silly one as, even if a large number of teams entered and the quality was rather hi-level, the winner was found "conniving" with some jurors. And they are all rather well-known names in both professional & university world... Due to this embarassing result, the competition was canceled some weeks after.
The last one was a two stage competition for a large housing program in Figino, Milan, helded by Polaris Investment Italia SGR. We did it with our Milan partner, D.Insinga & C. Srl, and other our usual collaborators. It was the right time to dedicate some resources exploring the social housing theme, increasing our knowledge on the subject. We placed 12th out of 110 paricipants. A good stroke for our first attempt on this subject!
